Free Entry into the Parkland and Event - donations appreciated
Join us at Burton Constable Hall as we step back in time to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day! This family-friendly event promises a wonderful day of community, remembrance, and celebration, honouring the spirit of 1945.
Experience the sights and sounds of the era with live music, a wind band, and energetic swing dancing - join in with the “Give It a Go” sessions! Stroll through our parkland and take part in outdoor games like tug of war and sack races, where you can compete against others for victory. Enjoy themed trails, hands-on crafts for all ages, and take a look at some of the vintage vehicles of display.
Indulge in classic treats, including traditional fish and chips, the VE Day Official Orange and Ginger Cake, and a refreshing gin and tonic, while soaking in the nostalgic atmosphere.
Bring your own picnic to enjoy in our beautiful parkland, or treat yourself to one of our special pre-ordered picnic boxes - just go to 'Book Tickets'.
To complete the experience, we invite everyone to dress in 1940s attire, whether it’s military uniforms, tea dresses, or wartime-inspired outfits, we’d love to see your vintage style!
Entry is free to the Parkland and the event, but a donation is greatly appreciated to help preserve our historic hall and parkland for future generations.
Tickets for the Hall can be purchased on the day for £5 for Adult and £15 for a Family of 2 adults and 2 children (5-15yrs)
Gather your family and friends for a day of music, dancing, and community togetherness, as we commemorate this landmark anniversary in history.
