Last year, almost 2,000 of you attended at least one of our 20 live shows. This year, we've revised the line-up and the schedule in hope that even more of you will join us in the North Garden for some even louder and livelier performances!
Throughout the school holidays in August, we will be bringing you live entertainment form our North Garden, with performances from both local and national acts.
Let's hope for some fabulous weather so you can enjoy some quality time with family and friends in the wonderful surroundings of Burton Constable.
What’s On?
We have already announce and put tickets live for some of our upcoming shows, with more to go live very soon! You can see an overview here.
Entertainment will vary, with acts and performances for all audiences and age groups throughout the daytime and some evenings.
By visiting our Events page, you can find all of the relevant information for each event. Be sure to read each event carefully, before booking. More and more events will be added over the coming weeks, so be sure to follow our social channels and keep an eye on our website for any updates.
How do you book tickets?
The easiest way to book your tickets is to visit our ‘Live On The Lawn’ ticketing page. From here, you can select the performance you wish to see and purchase tickets.
Quantities of tickets will be limited to 6 per person, (unless stated otherwise). Any children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult. There are limited spaces per event and tickets, in most cases, will have to be booked in advance.
How will it work?
There will be a general rule of thumb for all of the events but it’s best to read the information provided on the event you wish to attend. As well as reading any additional information on the confirmation email you're sent after booking.
For any daytime shows, your ticket will include Grounds admission & 50% off entrance to the Hall. This means that you can come up early and explore or enjoy an adventure afterwards. You would still enter via the main drive, head beyond the Stable Block and make the most of our free parking. From here, report to the Ticket Desk and show your proof of purchase to be allocated with a wristband which will grant you access to the event. The main entrance to the North Garden is situated on the West Front of the House.
For evening shows, you should still enter via the main drive. There will be a station here to collect your wristbands from before entering the North Garden. Early arrivals will be able to park outside the House until overflow is required into our original car park. The car park is a short walk to the House.
What will you need to bring with you?
Firstly, remember to bring your proof of purchase. Although we will have a record, the process will be more swift if you have a print out or digital copy.
Like any outdoor event, we strongly advise preparing for all weather scenarios. Waterproofs, blankets, sunscreen and sun hats may all be required within a one hour window! Please, try to avoid using umbrellas as they will block the view of others - bring a poncho instead!
What about seating?
Please, bring your own form of seating, we will not be providing this.
To ensure the best viewing experience for all of our visitors, please be mindful about your seating choice.
Those who choose ground seating in the form blankets and cushions will be allocated an area nearest the front. Those who bring their own seats are asked to respect this space.
Upon arrival, depending on the amount of tickets sold for each event, you will be given an element of freedom to fill up the lawn and sit where you wish. Although, there will be staff on hand ensuring that you are not impacting the views of others.
Can you bring food & drink?
Yes. We want you to enjoy the experience and have all of the refreshments you require to do so. However, please read each event carefully, as elements of this may be subject to change.
We will also have vendors on hand offering a range of drinks and food available to purchase before, during and at intervals.
Please, respect our premises and take any litter away with you. There will be bins on our premises too, to help with keeping it all tidy.
You are not permitted to bring alcohol on our premises but it may be bought on site.
What about toilets?
Our main toilet facilities will be open in the South Stable Block during the hours of 10am-5pm. We would encourage you to use these before entering the show. However, we will also have some temporary toilet facilities at the location itself.
What about car parking?
For all events during normal opening hours (10am-5pm) we ask that you park in the main car park as normal - it's free. For evening events, you will be able to park in front of the Hall, until it's at capacity and then overflow into the main car park. Again, free of charge. Disabled parking is available outside the Hall for all events and drop offs to the location can be arranged.
If you intend on leaving your car over night, you will need to park in the main car park.
Socialising Safely
Although we may be coming to the end of this current pandemic, we are constantly assessing the risks involved according to latest Government guidelines. Regardless of this, we are confident that we have the space and facilities to offer an enjoyable experience, juts like last year.
We will be working with each artist and their risk assessments, as well as applying our own and the events company's, to ensure we have thoroughly planned for each event.
We politely ask that you follow the procedures and guidelines we have in place at all times and be patient with regards to queuing.
Cancellation Policies
In the event of a COVID-19 pandemic update, all events may be cancelled at short notice. We are working with artists and performers to ensure refunds can be issued. Alternatively, we may rearrange the event for a later date.
In terms of poor weather conditions, the show must go on! If the events company or Burton Constable feel adverse weather is impacting the safety of our guests and performers, again, we may have to cancel at short notice.
